Hello, Verge developers. I'm currently in the process of moving/remaking my home page, and I need input from game programmers, such as yourselves. The most significant part of my site remake is a search engine I dreamed up made specifically for game developers. I'm thinking of something along the lines of a engine that works of topics. Users can choose the topic that most closely matches their own, and then use filters to narrow down their search. For example, I might choose "Verge Sidescroll Game Development" from my list of topics, and then I might select "Tutorials" to indicate that I only want sites that offer online tutorials on that topic. Albeit the engine couldn't be perfect and it will take a while before the engine gets large enough to be completely useful, but I think it could work. I also have a system of allowing users to automatically add and rate sites to help with that problem.
Basically, I'm shooting for an engine that can help a developer find the resources he/she is looking for more comprehensively than a generic search engine could do.
At this point, nothing is set in stone and I'm sure there are ideas I haven't thought of, so if you got some ideas I'd love to hear them!
