Hey, I was just wondering what the name of the music at the beginning of sully chronicles was. I just revisited this site after 3 or 4 years and remembered that music but its in some format i've never seen before and couldn't find a way to convert it.

That would be aurora.mod
Download v1 again and you will find it sitting there smiling at you. Winamp can play modules but it is to be avoided at all costs. Download modplug player. If you want to avoid it use winamp wav or mp3 write output.

I proved a while ago that aurora.mod was a rip of
r!etrnal.xm that is available on Modarchive.com.
How do I know this? Because the person that made it submitted it to the 98 mod competition! He even made a remix for it. :)

That's hilarious.
It's interesting that someone would rip an xm and downgrade it to a mod. Maybe the dev team just converted it to mod at some point when v1 only supported .mod's or something.

Hmm, I never thought of that explanation, I just always assumed they got it from someone who passed it off as their own work. I never thought that maybe one of the original devs did it. But why did they rename it?

Someone probably converted it because they were using something that only played MODs.
Then someone else downloaded it for something, and thought it was neat. So they submitted it to modarchive.

No, as I said before, there is a lot of information in the xm itself describing how he made the song, and then the same person submitted it as a remix in the 98 Mod Compo. So the version on Modarchive is definetly the authentic one, and predates aurora.mod.
