For those of you who have been around a while, you may have herd me talk about my "Secret of the Centaurs" Project. Well, I finally released a demo.(Don't everyone jump up at once. Unfortunitly my website won't update so I've posted the file over at the verge source. I think it came out well. I'm would love comment's, good or bad. I was also hoping that if I could crank out a demo, (and prove that I'm not just blowing steam here) that I might be able to get some help. Especially with chr's. (Mine suck) But you can e-mail me. My e-mail address it:

-making maps like that looks like a pain to me.
-I really like that intro song.
-BS monsters were cool
-dialogue could be better.
-way too many misspellings, get an editor. :)

I really liked how you did the credits with all the letters moving around. How'd you do that anyway?

1. The backgroungs were not as hard as you think. It only took me about half an hour to make the city, (a lot of copy/pasting of buildings) and then all I had to do was move the camera around and adjust the lighting and take a snapshot. Once that was done I took it into photoshop and played with the color settings to give it that dead feel.
2. Thanks, the intro song was my second attempt. I wanted the theme song to at least be original.
3. I can't take credit for the monsters since I stole them out of FF4. I intend to replace them with my own drawings soon.
4. It is really hard to write convincing dialog. The night scene was probably the best because I took the time to write it out ahead of time.
5. I would love to know how to spell check VC Code, because I have the habbit of writing the dialog as I'm coding. I tried to catch any mistakes, but its tough.
6. The credits thing was a last minute addition to make them less boring. Basicly, I wrote a function to calculate where a point would be on a line in a timeframe. (good for moving pictures.) Call it inside a For next loop with a timer function and it will return the current location. I then added an arc to it. It's all based on some kinematic algebra. If you want to take a look it's in the system.vc file. If you want I can release the code for easier use.

I liked it it was interesting and I think you should continue. It was rather unfinished so I think you should finish what you have (like make it so you can gain levels and enable magic and items) then release the same section of the game complete cause I'm interested to see what the rest opf the system stuff is like. As for the plot I think it could be very interesting from what I see. I'll be looking.
