K. I've been warned not to paint my Verge material in
MSPaint. The color palletes don't work together or
something. Is there any other program I can color edit
my image work in another program? Is there a PCX of
the actual Verge pallete? I still want to use MSPaint
since I'm so comfortable with it. Please help. My
Kahlan CHR is so cute. It would be a shame if all that
time was spent for nothing.

Thanks
Queen Emerald

A great place to find info is the Verge Source. Check the link at the bottom left. In the articles section they have info on getting the verge palette.

I don't think MSPaint supports different palettes, so I'm not sure if it can be used. PhotoShop and Paint Shop Pro are the two programs vergers use most.

Ah fantastic! I was hoping I'd be able to find an
answer through photoshop. I use the program whenever
I'm not focusing on pixels.

Thanks

PS: Boy, that was fast. Most message boards take at
least three days for a response

Yeah, Grenideer's right, MSPaint doesn't support anything really beyond just painting with some colors. What you can do though is draw in MSpaint, then save as a BMP, load it into Photoshop, and apply the correct palette. Or if you're using a highcolor version of VERGE, the palette won't matter anyway.

I have the VERGE palette in Photoshop ACT format if you want it. I don't know if Vergesource has it. You can also open console.gif and save it's palette in Photoshop to get it. The only thing you'll want to do is change color 0 from black to hot pink or something else easy to recognize, otherwise Photoshop tends to select the other instance of 0,0,0 in the palette first, preventing any transparency in the image.

That would be great Devon!

It would make things a lot easier for me now. If you
could send it to my dorm address at erana@usadatanet.net
I'd be much obliged.
