So, we set a new record: Two updates in under a week. I think a little self-congratulatory champagne is in order.

Aside from these past two updates, you've probably noticed that verge-rpg.com doesn't get updated very much. And, you've probably heard people complain about that (or other problems with the site), including on this board. It essentially just comes down to time, and time is something that most of us don't have much of (and by us I mean everyone, except poor, starving kids), and for those of us that helped run/maintain verge-rpg.com (check out the contacts link on the nav bar), we have almost no time currently, due to various commitments and just where we are in life.

Regardless of this, it only takes a few minutes for any of us to post news items, and that is not too much time to spare. Now, you come to verge-rpg.com for news, maybe a download occasionally, and these wonderful boards (oh, and maybe read an article or doc or two). It is not your job to submit news to us, or provide us with anything, nor should it be. However, I've always been happy to post any news items (aside from the absurd and just plain silly) that have been submitted to me.

Therefore, I now do so make the following statement - If you have an item that's newsworthy, or want to promote your new game, or even have a great Moment of Zen you'd like to share with the community, please, feel free to submit it.

For example, the Verge Compo HoV that just started: I don't get around to checking the boards that often, so I didn't post the item until the day it started, when I noticed it. Had I been notified earlier via e-mail, which I do check often, I would have posted this a lot sooner and it would have probably helped drum up interest.

Anyway, this is not a plea to submit news or anything - verge-rpg.com is not a "verge news site" or whatever you want to call it, but we're all more than happy to post news or help verge developers get the word out about their new game.

Just shoot me an e-mail at loretian@verge-rpg.com.

And sorry about the long post.

I don't have any news to share, but I wish that I did. :)

I do wonder why none of the recent updates even MENTIONED the status of Verge3, which should be nearing it's first public release soon judging by previous news updates (which mysteriously disappeared from the front page, and there is no news archive that i'm aware of)

Well, there isn't that much to report. I mean, we could post daily updates saying "fixed bug which prevented entities.. blah blah", but that's boring stuff....

I'm working on getting a news archive feature setup as well. Probably something very simple and basic, but it'll at least let you view those old updates.

Ben McGraw's lovingly crafted this website from scratch for years.
It's a lot prettier this go around because of Jon Wofford.
Verge-rpg.com is a member of the lunarnet irc network, and would like to take this opportunity to remind you that regardless how babies taste, it is wrong to eat them.
