How many people still use v1? I know I still do, and it has been defended quite a bit by some on the forums. I was thinking, if I can get proper hosting, I might make a small page and just upload all my tiles and chr's, and portraits and stuff for the taking, their no treats, but I really don't need them.
If there was alot of interest, with v1 stuff I'd love to just make tiles and post them for public use, plus portraits and stuff for v1 too.
honestly v2 stuff i'm not used too, I'd do some portraits and chr's for it too, but I know that many people use different colour pallettes, etc, and it just wouldn't be useful.
If anyone cares, post, and if I can get some hosting I'll upload'm, but other wise, their just going to sit here and go to waste.

Tell me what you guys think.

A good rule of thumb is to simply upload everything, someone or other will find use for it, most likely.

Ask MasterCain about hosting.

If you really want to know, I would've ended up using V1+ if I hadn't taken the time to learn V2. At this point, I doubt I will go back seeing how I could probably do the same thing in V2 easily. Still I think it's great to see the V1 audience still getting some support. Hey, it might encourage people to take more interest in V1. After all, it's quite well done and can be a real flexible bastard (if you know how to handle it).

So yeah, it's a good idea, go through with it. It will definitely please many.

The 8000 flag variables. That's all you have to work with, and that just blows.

Well it can't hurt, I'll try to gather up all my junk, heh, I hate for it to go to waste...

I almost reached 4000 flags one time.

If all you have to work with is a great big flags[] array, then your code will be hard to read. It's much better to be able to declare and name your own variables than figure out what this flag does, or what that flag way down there does... And making a battle system with a bunch of nasty flag variables is a tedious task that's just not worth it.

I once made a combat system with v1. It was readable too! (if still exceptionally arcane code)

I overloaded the preprocessor by #defining too many symbols.
