I still can't update news. ;_;

I was messing around with v2.6 a bit this morning, and I thought y'all'd want to know what I came up with. It's not a big change, but it's here:

Replaced MIDAS with v2.7's audio plugin. (which is MikMod) So yeah, ITs, high quality sound, etc...

Changed the VC variable bit_depth so that it behaves like v2k+j.

Broke fseekline so that it behaves like v2k+j.

I think the PNG stuff works now too.

http://verge-rpg.com/~tsb/files/v26exes.zip (just the EXE files)
http://verge-rpg.com/~tsb/files/v26src.zip (source code)

And now, for your unofficial moment of zen:http://verge-rpg.com/~tsb/gfx/shootmeup.png

I tried to check if the hotspots have been fixed...are they?

Oh, and Verge 2.6 doesn't like chr's edited with v2chr..:(

I didn't change the hotspot code, no.

Are you sure it isn't something else? I've tested it a bit with Sully Pi (whose CHRs were drawn exclusively in v2chr) and it works great.

Well, I pasted in my own chr from the Shiny Sword, but it made the game crash. When I edited the hotspots of the existing chr Verge crashed as well...

It's good to see some final efforts on Verge 2.6 though. Good job :)

And the source compiled by the way :D

All my chrs are done with v2chr, and they work perfectly.

Aren't some human beings weird?

Keep up the good work, Speed, and thanks for the work you've already done.

The windows version of mikmod is a totally different beast than the old DOS version.

Winamp uses it to play MOD files, if that gives you any indication. ^_^
