Short version: revision 4 is portable now, more stable, and supports OGG and MP3.

http://verge-rpg.com/~tsb/files/v26r4-win32.zip Win9x/NT Binaries, and required DLLs.
http://verge-rpg.com/~tsb/files/v26r4.tar.bz2 Source code. Known to compile under win32 and Linux. (it will probably run under BSD as well, but it's untested.
