Hey. Well, I decided to port an old game I made in the first release of v2 to v2.6 (i assumed the windows version = stability and what not), but I'm having some troubles. I can compile all of my old maps and system.vc (after a little porting of course) to with the Vcc that came with v2.6, but when I run 2.6, it shows a blueish-gray screen, with Verge 2.6 at the top, and basically freezes my comp. I have the autoexe as the virst function in the system.vc, and in the log it says it loaded my test.map fine. Am I totally missing something ? My game is in 256 color, and i am using win ME (uck). For the life of me, I cant figure out what is wrong. Thanks!

I've received the same thing. In addition, when attempting to use vcc, I receive the error:
Stub exec Error:
dos4gw.exe
No such file or directory
I am a complete newbie looking to make an RPG. So far my attempts to find a demo which I can view and learn from has yielded nothing. Reading other posts show that people here don't seem to want to help you figure out code like battle systems and such? While the tutorials are informative, they lack a serious ammount of information I could use. While I am not new to coding, I'm only learning c++ and java at the basics. Any help private or on this board would be greatly appreciated.
As a small note: I seem to have an inability to download any of the verge2 games from the verge server. Either the files are corrupted or the server is cutting me off before the download is complete.
