Hey all.
I haven't done any verge work in honestly 1.5 years, and I'm looking to get back into it. I have a ton of vsps/chrs sitting around, but after some experimentation with the latest versions, I've found that my chrs are completely incompatable.
ok, no big deal.
however, there doesn't appear to be any way to convert between the original v2 .chr format and the newer version(based on the v2+i release). The chr editor I've tried is Mythril's EditChr1.3, and loading a original v2 chr crashes it horribly.
Does anyone know of a good way of converting chrs from the original format?
Thanks in advance

Rane's v2chr is the best v2 chr editor I've seen. Should be floating around tvs.mastercain.com somewhere.
v2+i *only* supports hicolor chrs. v2.01 chrs should be compatible with v25/v26.
If you have those chrs as image files somewhere, convert those images to hicolor bmp's, create a makefile (check v2+i's docs: chr makefile format is different!) and use chrmak16 for a hicolor, v2+i compatible chr.
That is all.
