Why doesn't someone take the most stable version of V2, some tilesets, some .chr files and tutorials and throw together a newbie pack? I'm a long time lurker and I've never made anything with Verge (I've tried). I've gone to Rpgm2k3 (Don't groan!). Even though I'm used to the verge-rpg layout it's still really confusing to find the most recent version of V2 and to find a version that's compatible with windows. So maybe someone should put together this pack and call it the official download to get started.
I think it would be a bit easier for the newbies to get started if someone did this.

We tried to get the dev team to do that years ago. Don't fucking count on it.

Go ahead and use your stolen, proprietary piece of software. Good for you. V2 is no longer supported by anyone, so just forget it even existed.

I'm even trying to make verge-net not suck. :p And who knows, maybe if I revive interest in the community that'll spark renewed interest in developing v3.

The only problem is actually finding out what actually IS the most stable version of V2.
