 | Why doesn't someone take the most stable version of V2, some tilesets, some .chr files and tutorials and throw together a newbie pack? I'm a long time lurker and I've never made anything with Verge (I've tried). I've gone to Rpgm2k3 (Don't groan!). Even though I'm used to the verge-rpg layout it's still really confusing to find the most recent version of V2 and to find a version that's compatible with windows. So maybe someone should put together this pack and call it the official download to get started.
I think it would be a bit easier for the newbies to get started if someone did this.

 | We tried to get the dev team to do that years ago. Don't fucking count on it.

 | Go ahead and use your stolen, proprietary piece of software. Good for you. V2 is no longer supported by anyone, so just forget it even existed.

 | I'm even trying to make verge-net not suck. :p And who knows, maybe if I revive interest in the community that'll spark renewed interest in developing v3.

 | The only problem is actually finding out what actually IS the most stable version of V2.
