vergeonline has been laying dormant for quite a while. i see it there and i can belive not even an update has been made in a few years. vergeonline was such a great idea. *sob* but that's not what im trying to get at here. actually, i really want to contribute to the cause. i mean, i want to know if it's alright if i can submit info to it or like maybe help on the site. i dont like seeing that piece of work sitting there. it's really wearing on me. i want to do something about it. but i dont program, and im not the best at graphics. but i can haul ass on storyline and concepts. in fact, ive thought some ideas that maybe i can contribute to the world of vergeonline. but yknow, if whomever runs the site wants it to stay as a relic, i understand. *sob*

anyhoo, thanx for looking at this post. : )

i apologize for the profile quote at the bottom. i intended it to be recieved differently, but its interpreted harshly by people. i'll change it soon.

The thing that bludgeoned VO into a stupor was, in fact, an issue of graphics. No one could decide whether it would be high res or low, considering that getting people to actually make maps would be the most important factor in its development. I actually made up a few different large character templates, before it was decided to switch to low res, for which I made a few more character templates (The ones on the vo page, I think)...so then it was a question of WHO would actually create the templates; I had previously taken the initiative to create them. So now it was a question of who and when, and while some progress was made at coding the engine to support the game (I recall making a goat chr in V1 for lore to prance around in) a lot of in fighting dissolved it. So...uh...yeah, graphics made it die. check out http://www.falthorn.com/vo/ some of the art stuff that was made and squandered like vecna's wad at the Honeybee Inn!

oh the horror, and stuff.

Someone should bug me if they decide to kick that dead horse some more. I'd love to have a turn. ;)

Ben McGraw's lovingly crafted this website from scratch for years.
It's a lot prettier this go around because of Jon Wofford.
