Oh my, where to start. About 3 months ago, I was invited to join a mailing list in making a game based on the "tenchi muyo" character Washu. If you don't know/haven't seen it, the rest of this message is most likely meaningless to you and has no value. Anyway, onward...
Ahem...I joined the list and simply said in a nutshell that "I would gladly help make an RPG as an assistant programmer if a VERGE engine was used"; VERGE being my backbone in my small but noticeable programming career. After getting some of the plot down, which involved starting at the Science Academy (OVA series of course) and tying up that 20,000 or so years of "blankness." That's a lot of creative freedom...
But as it seems, the combination of Real Life (c) and lack of organization drove it to failure. Many people joined claiming artistic ability, but never replied when I came to them. I was able to turn out a small tech demo to show people on the list how it might look, using my own washu sprite which was made overnight...not very sharp...
But anyway, i feel horrible asking for help, but the only way to get talent is to go to talent.
I'm relatively good at music, and I have a good friend who writes creative Fan Fiction on a regular basis. I lie in the "moderate level" of VERGE programming. The only thing missing is the art...
Sooo...If you like Tenchi Muyo, and you like CHR's, help a hombre out....
