I've tried a bunch of different MapEd versions so far, and they all have little quirks that I just... can't deal with. First there was that whole tiles-over-127-cause-screw-ups thing... and now, with the version of MapEd I was directed to as an alternative, the program crashes every time I save, and occasionally DOESN'T SAVE before doing so.

So, basically, short and simple question: is there any version of MapEd which has all the bells and whistles of the ones I've been trying (i.e. tile editing and such) but actually WORKS, the WAY IT'S SUPPOSED TO? (: I'm trying to dive head-first into my game here, but I keep crashing through window panes that are suddenly THRUST in my way. (:

If someone can recommend a version of MapEd that's actually reliable -- even if it's a "non-canon" MapEd -- please, PLEASE let me know.
