Please note that I have the most recent verision of V26 and WinV2.
I am currently working on a game, which is *somewhat* compatible with both of these. It runs faster with V 2.6 :), but its more stable on WinV2.
V 2.6 doesn't seem to play any sound or music. WinV2 does play music & sound though.
For some reason my character is allowed to walk off the map with WinV2. I guess WV2 has the same problem as V2.7 in its early days.
Also, V 2.6 messes up my icons if I exit fullscreen mode. :(
WinV2 did the same once but only once.
I have:
Pentium 3 866 with Windows ME if you want that info.
Thanks if you read.
It is faster and easier to damage something than it is to create or repair it. Isn't it?

V26 should generally be faster because winv2 blits everything in hicolor mode, which is what allows it to do windowed mode well. I wasn't really aiming it for the old computers - I figured old computers could just keep using dos v2. ^_^
I kinda get a chuckle out of the v26 music problems because winv2 and v26 basically use the exact same music library. We both use mikmod, only v26 uses audiere as a wrapper, and apparently audiere causes havoc for some people.
Yeah, the walk off the map thing is a simple oversight. I'll fix it in the next beta. :)
