WinV2... XP compatibility?

As far as I can tell, the current version of the WinV2 executable is compatible with Windows XP. What about the editing tools? Am I, an XP user, entirely screwed out of *making* games in WinV2, and if so, when the hell is that going to change?

Also maped2 should run in win2k/xp, or else winmaped, but neither really works terribly well.

To be honest, I've been running my Verge project with Windows XP for a while and I've never had any compatability problems with it. What kind of error messages are you getting? And have you tried running it in Win 95/98/ME compatability mode? I don't know if that would really help with DOS apps, but it couldn't hurt.
