Well, as you people may have noticed by the heaps of posts I made about the 154 errors, I have been trying to lay my hands on the Verge 2.6 Source Code.
I already made my first tweak and though it was extremely minor and perhaps even pointless it just made me happy all over. Despite the complete lack of documentation in the .h files I found the code comprehensible enough to comprehend :p
I don't have any smashing huge plans, though I am always open for suggestions. I have no name yet for my edit of Verge 2.6, but one way or another it will be heavily aimed at peeps like me (who've got a Verge 2.6 project and really need hotspots *grin*).
In a few weeks or so, I'll release Verge 2.6 along with the new DOS Maped in one package. The main differences with the original will be:
-I'll include the DOS MapEd that was released here on verge-rpg a while ago.
-It has been compiled on my computer and I want to figure out if it is _exactly_ the same as the original. I compiled WinMaped a long time ago and back then I had a whole new app 8P
-Various minor tweaks, perhaps less cryptic error messages and very perhaps already fixed hotspots...
Only one thing remains, and that's a name. I doubt I can claim the name Verge 2.6 since tSB might want to do more stuff himself. I thought of several lame and less lame names, but being the man behind a project called 'The Shiny Sword' you might understand that I'm not that great in thinking up names :)
Well, for the two or three people who actually look forward to this: if you have any suggestions please do tell me :)

Take it. I'm done with v2.6, or if I do find a moment to hack a few things up, I'll just send you the code so you can integrate it.

Well, I'll make sure it'll be worth the name. :)
There is a lot of work to do, but I'll find a way. :)

I added cd audio built-in functions to v2.6 a couple of months ago, (and other several built-in functions wich I doubt anyone might care about).
I used the MCI controls (winmm.dll) to code the cd audio functions, so there's no copyright againts them.
(This was the reason why they have been removed in the first place.)
If you think you might need these MCI codes, they're all yours now.
Failure is not an option,
Windows is built with it!

Good job! ...but you probably didn't have the source code to revision 3 when you made that, did you? x.x I think you should use that as a starting point if it isn't too much trouble already.

I downloaded the code from TSB's site. Is it revision 3?

Check verge.h, there's a #defined constant in there somewhere.
