...I'd really like to see some screenshots. And the only way to impress me is great level desing, but anyway, your game is looking fantastic...in paper.

Oh, I could show you this wonderful church, our mapartist is soooo gifted... You'd like it I'm sure. But just wait a month or two, and you'll be able to download the first few scenes of the game.

That's a good point. Sometimes its not a good thing to
post a lot of messages about your project on message boards like
this just because people get impatient and what not.
Everybody knows Fantasy Realms has good artwork and
what not, and we all eagerly await and anticipate the completion
of what is obviously a high-scale and long term project.
But as great as it is, it might be just best to continue
to keep it relatively in the dark so that it doesn't risk
being overhyped.

I'm not on their team, but I think I can speak for them
some here. Its clearly not a project just on paper,
despite the overwhelming emphasis on portraits and artwork.
Its true that some people can be turned off by seeing too much
concept art and artwork in general, when they feel they
aren't seening enough of the other crucial stuff; screenshots,
music, code, demos, etc. But here is a project that is a couple
years old, even older, when you add in the concept designs,
and a lot of code and artwork has been put into it. And some good
music as well. It has more than the typical verge demo by far,
I'm sure. In any case, I would agree with you had I not seen
otherwise; sprites, music, story, code, etc..

Umm, perhaps I selected my words wrong, cause I didn't
mean to say that I doubt their project, far from it. I
love game artwork, being artist myself. I totally agree
with you, that FR has much more than a typical Verge demo,
indeed, it's the RPG I'm most looking foward to, more than
FF9 actually, cause I like non-professional games more
than those that are made for mass markets.
