I'm not sure if you've been told, but Arek had wanted you to resubmit the Bridget Trilogy to Verge-net; the submissions failed the first time due to the 2MB error we were told about earlier.

...Bridget I and II have been uploaded, but Bridget III is more than 8 megs in size... so Arek gave me FTP information to upload it, but I can't seem to log in for some reason (it gives me an error every time I try, and I can't read it, because I'm on a Japanese computer and the error is in very difficult Japanese!). So I tried uploading it to my OWN webspace at Tripod... and for some reason, this !"#$ computer HALTS THE UPLOAD halfway through because IT THINKS THERE WAS AN ERROR LOADING THE PAGE!! Grrrrr... so I have NO IDEA how the !"#$ you're ever gonna get to play this game... can't Arek increase the maximum upload size to 10 meg, even if only temporarily, so I can upload this file normally and be friggin' DONE with it?!

Sorry for the tone of voice, but I HATE computers these days. (:

as for " this !"#$ computer HALTS THE UPLOAD halfway through because IT THINKS THERE WAS AN ERROR LOADING THE PAGE!! "

Try setting the page timeout counter higher so you have more time to upload it. Optionally, you could upload it to the Vergesource, and post a message there pointing to the link. I've got a fast internet connection, and I can take that and upload it to Verge-net.

Option 2 is where we go sign up for a web site that supports +8meg downloads, you upload the file, then we upload to Verge-net from there.

Got one of those Instant messengers like AOL? You could transmit the file to one of us over that. I don't AIM has errors uploading webpages :)

Done.

P.S. BTW, Bridget III is one of only two verge games I've ever seen that's over 8 megs. (The other is TCOD)

Diver Down unzipped is 24 megs, but 11 of that is the music folder. If you remove all the sound fx, graphics, and music, the game itself is a bit over 5 megs.

And TCOD rocks.

...to be honest, I could probably have cut a meg off of it without losing too much... it was programmed rather sloppily (never meant to be released to the public, after all), and there are probably legions of unnecessary files in there (though the last time I tried to delete unnecessary files, I ended up accidentally deleting my VSP and having to spend hours fixing it up!), as well as several songs that are played only once and could easily have been replaced or removed entirely.

But instead, I got you to change the whole system for me... because that's just the way I am: a lazy bastard. (:

Thanks a bunch, though... and sorry to have caused you so many problems!! And to have had you put up with my whining... (:

And P.S. Omni: I can't use AIM, because I can only get on the internet from work right now, and AIM at work is kinda a no-no. (: And I can't change any of my MSIE settings, because all the menus and everything are in Japanese... and while I can speak a lot of Japanese, I'm not even gonna TRY to figure out an MSIE config settings screen in Japanese. It's pretty insane. (: I'm gonna probably get a new computer soon, as my current one is in hopelessly terrible shape right now... forewarning to you all: don't buy Hewlett Packard, and DON'T EVER use Windows ME. UGH. (: I'm never gonna buy any brand but Dell ever again. (:

And P.P.S... maybe I've been out of the loop for a bit too long here, but... what's TCOD?
