Just so nobody accuses me of being idle, the latest revision of the 3D engine is up. Now much, much faster and supporting animation.
http://www.verge-rpg.com/files/detail.php?id=556
If you check it out, it would be handy if you posted your frame rates and PC specs so I have some idea where to direct this thing.
And Grue, could you replace the earlier version with this? The parent id is still not sent.
Cheers,
-Basil

Shark 108 fps
Robot 58 fps
Demon 34 fps
Seaweed 21 fps
Athlon64 3200, arguing with edonkey, Progress Quest, mIRC and all my other always-running thingies.
And you're still insane.

Basil, the models are really cool, great job on the robot animation. How in the world did you create those animation data files? There's....TOO much there...
The Seaweed model drops me near 17 fps. Nice red monster model.

Shark 72
Demon 28
Seaweed 17
Robot 45
Athlon 2400+ running at 2.0ghz.
Also, I thought you should know, there seems to be a crashing bug when you go from viewing the robot animation and then click on the demon... I don't know if it crashes with any of the others, or if you have to do it in a certain order. Or you might already know about it. :D
edit: Buckerman, what's up with your poor computer? Did you have that Earth Simulator running in the background again? :D

Yeah, I've noticed that bug as well; ta for pointing it out.
It seems like most people have faster pcs than I thought, which bodes well I guess. In that case it should be possible to make something cool of this. Incidentally it was mostly developed on a celeron 433, so the frame rates as you can imagine were spectacular.

You dare to insult my mighty PC? Unwashed heathen!
[After I posted my FPS, I noticed that I had three instances of BitTorrent running (Final Fantasy VIII (Eng), Farland Symphony (Jap) and Giten Megami Tensei (Jap)).
That could explain my meager results, compared to yours.]

Use Azureus. :D It's like the luxury sedan of bittorent clients, and it's written pretty darn well too. No need for multiple instances. :D
