Hi everyone - Ive been mostly a silent contributor to the verge community for the last few years - and every once in a while I upload a demo or tool and in all that time only 1 really complete game.

Most of the stuff in my verge folder(s) remains unreleased and is really just a scrapyard for me to pick and plunder code bits for whatever project I choose to focus on. Recently I started on a project that I think really should be released because (i believe) there is a need for such a thing. Enough babbling ....
The projects are ---
Marionette

Which is an animation tool that is still rough around the edges but can be used (and has been by me) to create very smooth sprite animations via the use of keyframes and interpolation (like flash or most 3d animation tools) Once a sprite has been animated it can be saved as an animation file or simply exported as a magenta backgrounded bmp.

Along with Marionette Ive been working on a level editor (completely in vc) and just to be clear on this ----- the editor is
by no means something that should compete with maped3
in fact Ive found that its best used in combination with it.
This other tool I've christened PLAGUE - P:Atform Game Universe Editor and this is a screenshot of it ... a demo will soon follow.

Whew ...

I'm not sure how Marionette would work and look, but I have in fact a need of something that can create a smooth transition between two sprites, a transformation you could say. This really could be what I need, btw it seems the marionette link doesn't work.

Tried to use it, but can't make it work. Do you have a user manual by any chance?

Syn - yes there's an html manual included in the help folder -- just open index.html in your browser. I am currently working on a second release which will have a cleaner - more intuitive interface ... but the version that youve downloaded works (i promise :))

Ahh, can't believe I didn't see it. Btw, how do you do a middle mouse click without a middle mouse button?

Ben McGraw's lovingly crafted this website from scratch for years.
It's a lot prettier this go around because of Jon Wofford.
