Ive been working on an Ys style spoof for a bit now....and thought to myself "Hey I havent shown any of the Verge guys yet"

Its about a magical warrior created by the gods that comes down from the moon to save the planet from an unidentified evil that has begun robbing the planet of its 4 crystals that keep the world in balance. If all of them are destroyed, the planet will pull a deathstar...

Its simplistic. Its got one character. And Im pretty sure ill use the "attack by smashing into things" combat system!


So heres some screenshots! All art is done in MSPaint (*choke*) by my one friend. I dont know HOW he manages it with MS Paint.

Currently...The menus and shops are all working, the textboxes are typewriter style, and the fonts arent as ugly. So once I get some more artwork (dungeons/sprites....the exteriors are all done!), I can continue messing with it!!! And then comes the anime cutscenes ...which are going to be still shots with text boxes, but hey, were not animators!

I think it could pass for a Turbo Grafx CD game if I do say so myself.

1 and 2 are on NES (find ROMs), Turbo grafx, master system...
3 is on SNES, genesis, and turbo grafx
4 is on SNES
5 is ...good luck with that one....
6 is on PS2

my hair looks like his..only bigger, and thats what the sprite was inspired from. :)
