Sorry for the two very short periods of downtime on the boards.
The main board indexes should be much quicker to load now (by a factor of 30 or more, actually).

As I [Back] out of the thread I get a page expired. It would seems refreshing or continuing to [Back] out of the thread re-posts.
I don't remember if I've [Back]ed out before though.

Generally this is why one should never click [back] when posting stuff on forums. I designed the place so it's the same amount of clicks to get to where you want to go by using hyperlinks as it is by backbrowsing.

by the way...
I couldn't sleep tonite so I decided to optimize the threadview as well. I've cut the average thread render time down to about 1/6th of what I previously was getting, so yeah.
The php/mysql behind these optimizations isn't the prettiest to look at, but it's the least number of db queries, which is what counts :)

Backbrowsing in Opera on your site works perfectly, without any reloads. I've experienced some sites which does reload, but this is not one of them.
Weird.
Optimizations is always good, but why can't we select thread page nums from the thread view in the forums? Could save a few click there as well. ;)

Re-explain this in smaller words so my sleep-deprived brain can make sense of your topsy-turvy rollercoaster world of 'grammar'.

Ergh, sorry.
Select which page you want to go to in a thread.
From the forums page.
So you don't have to enter the first page of the thread, and then select a page from there.

Oh, well, I'm planning on linking the 'most recent post' directly to the last page soon. Will that satiate your needs for direct linkage?

I guess that'll do, at least before the community grows so large that a thread gains more than one page every day. But at that time I doubt I'd bother to read every single post anyway. :P
