Version 0.5.1 now records your mistakes and forces you to repeat the same questions in order to get mastery stars. >D

Hooray! It's version 0.5.2! I added an element called "full mastery". Now, the game will remember which questions you've been getting right and slowly remove them from the available pool of questions you could be asked. Also, I started to set up the fight section. You'll see what I mean if you get all 21 mastery stars... ;-)

Not only is there a new version out on the website, but I have officially declared Chinese Phonetics and Phonetic Fury as an entry into the Gruedorf Challenge! Victory will be mine!

Hehe finally!
I was really starting to wonder where you'd gone lately ;)
Although I did not played Chinese Phonetics I played Kanji Bouken and though that it was a very good and polished game.
I found it weird that a contest like Gruedorf would not interests you hehe.
Everything went back to normal, then :)
(I'll give Chinese Phonetics a try as soon as I find some time between work and personal life)

Thanks! It's very encouraging to get positive feedback on my work, and I'm glad you liked it.

Kanji Bouken is on the back-burner. I plan on doing second language research involving CPhon, so that's my priority right now. One day I will return to KB.

Let me know how you like Chinese Phonetics. =D

Hey, I just gave Chinese Phonetics a try, and I must say I am impressed! All those visuals, moving and changing shapes, particles effect on lots of cliquable-things hehe even if there's lots of white on screen, it looks great :)
It's fun to click everywhere hehe and it's very responsive!
Only thing is that my game's menu looks boring now :'(
Also the battles looks promising (is there a way to unlock more than the "m", "n" and "h" letters to save that poor word form the grisp of the spider's claw?).
Keep it up!

Hey, thanks! As we know, the more interactive, the better. My goal with the game was to integrate the language learning elements more completely than I did with Kambou. In fact, I just turned in a term paper which mentioned that point...

Indeed! You have to beat the boss at the end of the the first battle area to get the next set of sounds.

It's a lot prettier this go around because of Jon Wofford.
