Hello,
I am new to the forums and I am looking for evidence of a network and even internet playability in the engine. What is this netcode refuring to? also is there someone working on such a project to do this? I am about to take over www.darksunworld.com and we are remaking the old "Darksun Online" game. I have the original source to the game client and server, plus all the resource files ~ speech, tiles, effects, ect. This engine seems purfect for me and my new team to revive this old game!

Try another engine. VERGE's netcode is rudimentary at best and not at all suitable for a Massively Multiplayer RPG. Chiefly, VERGE is meant for single-player 2D RPGs similar to the likes of Chronotrigger, Phantasy Star IV, Final Fantasy VI, Secret of Mana and the like.

You may want to try ika, because it's very similar to Verge in some ways, except for the fact it uses Python. Since it's built on Python, that enables it to have access to a builtin socket module (that's slightly confusing with the OOP, but other than that is okay).
