person	Hi guys. I'm new to this forum, and I've been playing Diver Down recently (cool game!). I'm in Act III; the part where you're in the Outpost in the Freelands (after getting back from the desert/pirate island). I'm bacically not sure what to do next. I had dinner at that inn, I talked to that hunters guild guy, and I've even sailed up that river to figure out that I need to go there. That hunters guild guy keeps telling me to wait until he gets me 'help,' over and over again. I sort of think that I would have to do an optional quest. But the thing is, I did all of the optional quests before I sat down to eat at the inn. Am I screwed? O_o Posted on 2004-09-12 01:26:10

person	Let me see... - Complete at least one new Hunter's Guild mission. As I said, I did all three. - Purchase a faster mount. I purchased Stormcloud as soon as I got into the Outpost(that is, before I had dinner at the inn). - Find a way in. I took the boat up the river to near the bridge, and heard Gerrek (sp?) talk about the river flowing into that cave. This was probably the one thing I did after that dinner (though I don't remember if it was before or after talking to the hunters guild guy). I keep bringing up the dinner because I somehow think things would have gone at least a bit smoother if I had done this stuff after grabbing a bite to eat. (Please, please, please, please tell me this isn't a bug!) Posted on 2004-09-12 02:27:20

athocreft	If I understand you correctly... I believe that you are, in fact, screwed. I had the same problem. I had to go back to an earlier save and redo that whole desert part without having done the optional quests... :P I hope you have some earlier saves. :/ Also, Gren: The ending boss is WAAAYYYY too hard. I had all the best eq and high level characters and it took me many many many tries to finally kill him. :/ Aside from that, it's an awesome game. It really inspired me to get back into the verge community after being gone for so long. But now... with school. It's just depressing. :P I'm not going to have any time to do anything. grenideer	It's slightly possibly there's a bug here, but I was aware of the possibility of completing quests beforehand and everything. I think the deal is you are supposed to eat, which triggers a list of things to do in your journal. You do all those things and afterwards you say 'Let's eat and make a plan.' If you find the way in without having eaten first, it won't give you much info. If you go to the way in after dinner, it'll give you a success sound, etc. So the first thing I would do if I were you is go to the way in and see what it says. But probably you need to get dinner AGAIN. :) Your journal needs to be updated one more time before you can get in. Posted on 2004-09-12 22:31:19
