I have tried every combination I can think of. It seems that the guards can see me no matter where I am. Is there only one path that works and how do I even reach the planters to hide behind?

That really didn't help that much. It seems that there is a certain area around a guard where they will "see" you no matter where they are looking. What is the safe distance?

Can we have a forum SPECIFICALLY for people stuck on Diver Down? There seems to be a worryingly large volume of people breezing through here with the same sort of questions. Or, failing that, a very large and obvious link to a walkthrough.

I don't think creating a Diver Down forum these days would be worth it. A bit too late. And I wish someone did make a walkthru but I think I only saw one that was 20% of the way done. I think it did cover the Sleeping Guard Maze puzzle though.

I think you can be right behind a guard who is looking the other way and he won't see you but it's possible there's a 2 or 3 tile distance you should stay apart from them. If you are getting caught then it is probably another guard above or below you or somewhere you're not expecting who is seeing you. I really should have illustrated who is seeing you on what line of sight when you get caught right before the fight. That would have been the best way to teach the player in hindsight. Keep in mind that their line of sight is probably 3 tiles wide too.

Good luck!

I think there also might be an error. According to what you just said, I should be able to go across the bottom of the room past the second room because the guard in the second bed is facing right. However, there is a guard below looking up and it is separated by a wall. I don't think the wall isn't blocking the guard's line of vision for some reason.

I'm pretty sure there's no error since something like that hasn't been reported to me in the 5 years since this game was released. If you post screenshots of the room then I can draw out the path for you.

Hey Gren! How does one find you these days? Ye olde website is all missing. :(

Does the website not work for you? It should. I just finally got all my webhosting dealt with a couple weeks ago after more than a year of downtime. Not that there's any new content on the site.

Things have been good in LA. We're starting to work pretty hard on R2. And I've been drinking a lot. But, well, that's just me keepin it real.

When's SotS coming out? :)

I just went to your page and saw some cool news about a new website. It's very snazzy looking!

Ben McGraw's lovingly crafted this website from scratch for years.
It's a lot prettier this go around because of Jon Wofford.
