I just played it... it was very impressive, I was pleased with the consistent menus and straightforwardness of it. But the Hoppers kept killing my wizard.. I would suggest implimenting rows , a front and back row, (3 in the front, 2 in back) so you can have wizards and healers in the rear, where monsters can't strike with physical attacks... that's just a suggestion. Maybe magical attacks and harm both rows, though. This would save some frustration for magic-classes getting slaughtered a lot.
As for the eye-less sprites, I couldn't complain. They fit the game very well. I would offer my services as a monster-sprite maker, if you are interested. Contact me:

Well, the hate abilities are designed to divert attention from your wussy guys, but it's true that my wizard took a beating early on.

I will pass your message to Eldrtich. Any help we could have is good, I would like to see your capabilities in monster making. So send me some sample at knightmare_syndrome at the obvious hotmail.com. Not that I doubt your skils, just cause I'm in a perfect position to ask for some art, and god knows how much I like to look at art. Heh...

By the time I 'finished' playing through the demo, my wizard was about 1000 experience points behind the frontrunner of the party (oddly, my thief.) This becomes less of an issue as the characters level up and the fighters are actually able to generate a good deal of hate, but I agree that something might need to be done.
This is what I'm thinking of at the moment. I'm against actually implementing rows, since it does go somewhat against the hate system I already have. However, since the first two members of the party would, in theory, be the ones charging into the monsters first, having these two start the battle with a higher amount of hate would keep the monsters off the weaker characters in the back while still letting the monsters jump them physically if they start to act up too much.
As for the eyeless sprites, Gayo's taken over character art, and he added eyes. Which, really, I'm not opposed to. And I would be very happy to accept any monster artwork you'd like to offer. I will, however, direct you to speak with Syn on this matter, as the opinion was voiced that hornets and rats aren't heroic enough fare for the party to be fighting. As such, Syn gets to populate the less inhabited corners of Serinor. I will, however, need the end result of whatever the two of you manage to come up with.
