Don't fret, it's been "Textpad" for a long time. Once anybody who understands the basics sees your editor, they'll immediately grasp what they've got to do; it is just that Textpad is so familiar.

As the token non-windows user, I officially request screenshots of this magical editor.

well, yeah but, isn't it about time that VERGE use a custom made editor for VERGE developing alone?

I just hope so. you see, I made this for VERGE community and blah blah blah... you know what I mean, right?

That is sweet! Wow.

Random thought: I don't know anything about windows interprocess communication, but we should find a way to let your IDE tell verge to reload .vc files when you edit them. I'm sure there's other easy ways we could help them work together better, too.

Hey, creek.

Tripvice looks pretty awesome! Honestly, it was a pretty big surprise how cool it turned out. Good job. :)

I have one little uh... nitpick, I guess. I was messing around with it today (telling Jesse more about it, actually) and I opened the "About" window from the Help menu. And uh... then I couldn't make it go away! I actually had to kill Tripvice with the Task Manager.

I just figured you'd want to know. :)

Either way, it's very slick and incredibly professional looking. Keep up the good work!

You have to press ESC to kill the About box.

...

Okay, yeah. I suspected I might just be an idiot. :D

Carry on.

It's certainly nice to have the option. Personally I've used Wordpad for the longest time, though I use an application called Jarte these days (simply because, unlike either of Windows basic apps, it has line numbering ;) )

@Jesse: the IDE cannot communicate with VERGE directly -- I dont know how to. Vecna is not interested with this project anyway, that's why.

@Kildorf: thanks for the review. look and feel od the editor should be credited to vbAccelerator and Barry Allyn. the layout is my idea but concepts was taken from many IDE I use like Flash MX Pro, Dreamweaver...

@resident: ...TextPad and TriPViCE have line numberings too.

@anybody_who_havent_download: pleaes give it a try ^^

creek, vecna's not doing too much active development on verge anymore; I have been doing some, and so has zero, aen and kildorf. I'm not on Windows, so I can't really help with getting the two apps to communicate, but I'm sure we can pester one of the other devs to help.

now, that VERGE source code is open, maybe I could tweak some of it and make it communicate with my IDE ^^. If that would be easy...
...too bad, I'm not quite good in hardcore C/C++... : (

anyways, i gotta try...
