For your downloading pleasure: a new font I was working on just before the HOV. It's not quite finished (the punctuation needs doing and the shadowing needs a little tweaking) but it's shaping up quite well.
This particular font I can't completely lay credit to but I'll tell you the story behind it:
Back in my MegaZeuxing days (MegaZeux is a DOS Games Creation System. Not as good as VERGE) I played many strange and bountiful games. One in particular had an intriguing charm to it: it was called "Darkness," by a guy called Darren Hewer (he now runs dosgames.com). Put simply, this game was quite, quite mad. Mad people, mad places, mad everything. And it was great.
It had a nice font, too.
Anyway, one day I chose to moved on from MegaZeux: tired of the limited scope in which to make games I hopped on the nearest bandwagon to VERGE country, where I still am today. I remember those games though, in particular the crazy ones. This is my homage to "Darkness"'s font.
The original font - entitled "KEWL" - was made by a guy called magiCK. I converted it into a bitmap from an ASCII character set and painstakingly arranged it into a format V3 can handle, adding a dropshadow and tweaking the letters to fit better as I went. This is what it currently looks like:
I'll probably finish it after the HOV. In the meantime, feel free to use this version for pretty much any purpose you like. It looks fine in both 320x240 and 640x480.
