I'm in the middle of entering in some equipment data for my game, and I thought it would be a nice idea to have a brainstorming session for "RPG Equipment," dump all the ideas together, and then post it up as an article. Then people who make a game in the future won't have to be as creative, because they'll already have all kinds of good ideas to choose from. Don't ask me why that's a good thing, but it is!
So here's what I've thought up so far, if this goes well, I'll throw it all together and post it as an article.

Interesting. You could even set up a system to randomly generate items using this data. String together a name from prefixes and nouns etc. and then determine stats depending on materials.
Ok, a few more for you:
Flexible/Nonmetallic Armor Nouns
Waistcoat
Uniform
Jumpsuit
Overalls/Coveralls
Fatigues
Gown
Skirt
Kilt
Flexible/Nonmetallic Armor Prefixes
Quilted-
Rubber-
Oh, and keep in mind the practicality of some of your prefixes. Armour made of Gold? Heavy, and cuts like butter. From a combat standpoint you'd be better off running around in your underwear.
