Hey--I've been lurking around VERGE for a really, really long time (like I remember being excited when the first SotS demo and the old-school Dreamseekers thing came out.) I've made demos in the past that either never came to much or started to come to much and then ran into horrible problems (with Verge2 and malloc() etc) and then I quit working on them forever.

I have been watching this Gruedorf competition you value so highly with great interest, and since I finally have enough skill and time to make something that is awesome, I would like to join the Gruedorf, that crucible of lies and laughter and promises tumbling to the ground.
