Thanks for the suggestion! I have a question if I don't like the 16x32 size limitation for the player size is there anything which can be done?

Entities can actually be any size you want. The frame size gets defined in the .MAK file. I myself use 64x64 entities. :)

Is there a way to use large tiles for MapED? Or would I need to create my own Mapeditor?

Well, the copy/paste features of maped really help lay down large areas. But if you wanted to make your own mapeditor, as it were, you could just augment maped3 to do what you wanted.

It's all open source after all.
