If your artwork is badass you should post it right here by using a hosting service(I suggest http://www.myonlineimages.com/). Why? Because you are not marketing yourself successfully on the board to get people to take the time to email you. Trust me, that's how I joined my first team.

It's true. Perhaps I'm old and distrustful but I'd rather not email random people looking for artwork, particularly when I'm mostly just interested in it for the sake of art. If you have stuff worth showing off then surely you can find the time to set up a free web account somewhere?

Well personally, I wanted to see if he could to BG art...

(Yes, I pixeled that. It's for a contest. Still not finished... Oh, and the perspective is mandatory for that contest. I really do most my stuff in another format.)
Anyways, I do have other projects in the works, but they're probably going to be left unfinished, so if anybody is interested in an artist, ring me up. (I feel so stupid doing it in this thread :P)

That's some crazy azn sexy right there!
I feel the need to pick up barrels and throw them at people now.
Anyways, the ogre wasn't so bad for a beginning piece. Claiming to have made the rpgmaker default stuff is sorta silly, though.

Dude he mostly stole off the orge too, don't encourage him. I have no respect for people who rip off other people's work and claim it for theirs.
Oh, and nice tiles Gamer, what are the rules of this contest? Do you have to make the baddest map with the least possible number of tiles?

The objective is to draw the picture they provide in a Double Dragon like perspective using a max of 40 tiles, only 1 layer, 15 colors per tile (one palette row), and a max of 10 palette rows.

- edit: After reviewing my copy, it appears I was wrong... to many colors. X_X Very similar, but I think someone else was right first: I THINK it's actually one of the user-submitted sprite spreads for ZAngband, a varient of Angband.
-edit2: And here they are, I was right. XD Right here, scroll down to the section that says 'Angband Graphics' A note there says that the original author has disappeared and that the sprites are now public domain. Or something.
-edit3: Also of interest about that page is that it seems to be a fan site for BYOND, one of the engines he was asking about in an earlier post. I don't think it would be too much of a longshot to guess that he probably stole them right from that very page!

An email he recently sent me:okay dude? I did NOT steal sprites from RPG maker, I have never used rpg maker, besides my internet blocked their download website, i have tried finding other game makers but now many r good. Now I will not apologize to you or anyone else, bc I took my time to make all those icons, and the ogre I sent you was the same as the other pictures, just magnified so it was a tad bad, but what do u expect....it's paint, and ur graphics on sully chronicles are terrible, so I wouldn't judge. So if you want to criticize my work then u can find another artist with my talent. I have many other people begging me for my art but I can't make art for games from different peopel for most of my art is practically all the same, copyright issues of course. So fine, don't except my art....the ogre was the same as the pther pics just in different ways, it's hard to make them move i am working on making that a better skill of mine. Apparently he denies that those sprites are stolen from RM2K3. Did RPG Maker steal his artwork? *gasp* Oh! And apparently Sully's art is "terrible" (and he thinks it's mine, heh). I find this extremely hilarious and sad simultaneously. ;_;

Simply amazing. He/she/it denies stealing from an extremely popular game maker, AND still claims the graphics as his/her/its own.
A few notes: if you had ANY adeptness in the field, you would call them sprites, not icons, and you would have said "improving on animation". The styles ranging in the pieces by "you" are COMPLETELY different, which dissolves any claim you've made them upon (because at least a small motif would be preserved by each artist, no matter how diversely taught they are). "Just magnified" is absolutely NO excuse for crappy art.

Actually! He's right. Those aren't stolen from RM2k3!
They're from RM'95 (And I believe 98 uses them as well...can't remember) ;P Totally old school, and is actually the first "Game Maker" I ever dabbled with. In fact, I can tell you that that the character 9th from the left and in the top row was who I had for my "hero" character. Good times, good times.
Also, I loved your picture Syn :P The sig+copyright notice was a nice touch.
Ahh. Drama. Every forum needs some once in awhile I suppose.

ok I apoligize...this was not my work. But i did not steal them from RPG maker....My friend gave them to me, but he got them from www.BYOND.com. S don't start calling me a liar and a cheat cuz I am a good artist, I will show u my real work that use for www.BYOND.com, ...however idk how to show u on this site..if u tell me then I will show u however.
