There's a lot of new stuff here. I got save/load functionality, a story sequence (albeit lacking pictures at the moment), a weak AI in place for battles. For a complete list of changes, see my changes log. Also checkout controls.txt.

To be included in v0.3:

Items
Currency
Four new story sequences (thus completely chapter 1)
Pictures illustrating the first and the four new story sequences
Battle Combos
In-Game Instruction Manual (the Info section)
Any of the recommendations / feedback I get before the release

I've also been playing around with ideas for a pathtracing script (as it is, you can't land on non-movable spaces, but you can pass over them), and a better Akuji AI. Any recommendations for these sections is welcome.

Wow. This is great. I see you have an in-game manual section set up for the next release, which is a good thing. Pretty much the whole time I was amazingly confused. I can see myself totally getting into this, if only I knew what on earth was going on.

I had to figure out a lot of the things you are talking about (pathfinding, AI etc) for the tactics demo I put out a while back. Similar to everything I have ever done, it has some good coding with absolutely dreadful production values. Basically the pathfinding was a bunch of recursion and the AI a large number of if/elses. I can't promise you'll make any sense of the source, but drop me an email if you want to discuss anything [ craig dot polley at gmail ]

It's a lot prettier this go around because of Jon Wofford.
