grenideer	I want to make a Diver Down gallery on this site, but many of DD's art files are pcxs. PhotoShop and ImageReady don't open these any more, so what's a good program I can use to view them? Posted on 2005-08-07 18:05:57
Kildorf	Irfanview is an awesome, free image viewer. It also does a bit of editing stuff, like brightness adjustments, resizing (it's better at resizing than Photoshop is!) and conversion. It also does things like batch conversions and directory browsing very pleasantly. And it's tiny. I highly recommend it! Posted on 2005-08-07 18:27:39

grenideer	i dunno - i got photoshop 7. I think it's the newest one, and it looks like they abandoned a whole mess of file types. even with ImageReady installed, it won't open them. I always edited them in photoshop when i was develping DD, but it was always an older program version. Posted on 2005-08-09 02:29:15
Code	Hmm... No, I'm using Photoshop 7, and I use it to edit pcx's. You're trying to open it from within Photoshop, and you get some kind of error message? Because I think it didn't originally come 'assigned' to pcx files. I had to go to Folder Options->File Types to change that. But I dunno... It might be worth it to reinstall Photoshop.
