voila!!!!
It is I, BLUE STAR, and have stopped in to make my annual (?) visit! It looks like V3 is posted and ready for demos.. and lately I've had an insatiable craving to create, much like the Lord himself must have felt when he made me, BLUE STAR.
So I'm thinking about creating a great new, totally original (Half original, I suppose) demo! I think it will be entitled.. License to Poop ( Acoustic )!!
So expect me to be dropping in on MIRC relatively soon and bugging you guys about coding and such. I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions. I miss you guys!

I'm so curious about V3.. I wonder if it will feature spoon-feeding built-in functions like V1. How I miss the original.. but i guess change is good. i'm already intimidated!!!

VERGE3 is pretty much the same as VERGE2, only significantly less broken. As for VERGE1, see the Sully demo. It has an awesome function library, which will only get awesomer for the release version.

I think its safe to say that v3 is so much better than v2 that it doesnt compare =p

V3 lacks spoon-feeding, but Grue and Zip have been clocking in a lot of time on a lib that should amend that.

no, grue, you're mistaken. i have to concentrate solely on the production value of a game, i've no patience for code these days... well, minus some of this
{
if(!flags[4]);
{
stext('Ground control to Major Tom','The planet earth is blue,','and there's nothing I can do');
flags[4]=1;
fadeout(300);
}
}
hehe.. I'm not even sure if that's how it was done. Ehhhh....

pre makes things sexy,
[Zip Edit: Only if you don't mess up the page width in the process]

Oh, I dunno. Internally it may be several squillion times better, but broadly speaking it offers much the same functionality as before. Granted, with better graphical support and under a newer, spiffier operating system. The biggest difference is the fact that it's now predominantly pixel-based, which I have to concede is a pretty big change.
No matter how you slice it though, it's still VERGE.

I am very sad about pixel-basing. I wish there were an option to have tile-based player movement.

Anyway, to get back on topic. I think there should be a Tears of Vengeance compo where every game entered has to be called Tears of Vengeance!

ToV wouldn't be ToV without myself and Spram.. and i'm sure he's just as uninterested in creating a serious rpg as i am, considering my programming skills have stayed at a standstill since V1, and i was the 'coder' for those projects.
but we should make a compo... and the winner gets a complimentary version of my unreleased V2 project. how come no one talks about that one?
