It occurs to me that I have a rather comprehensive arsenal of sound effects. In the interest of maximizing public art and such, should I upload this to the site somehow? They're all .wavs, and some are a little long (~3 secs of wind, for example), so would .mp3ing all of them be advisable? Has the sound system been tested enough to get a feel for loading times, fidelity, volume, etc?

Hmm. I havent tested the load times on the mp3 (as sfx - mp3 music is streamed, mp3 sound effects are loaded fully into memory), but I dont expect it to be a problem. I'll play around with it tho. Good idea!

You more you wankers tell me to use ogg, the less likely I am to ever do it. lay off for gods sake

Seriously though, I'm thinking about doing the same thing for music. It would be great to have sound/music packs available so novice game makers wouldnt have to rip aurora.mod over and over again.

Oh yeah, and if anyone wants to contribute some original music to the pack, let me know.
