Well, I have sorta finished my RT Battle System.
Criticize my work and laugh at it.
Seriously. It sucks pretty badly. You can move around and kill the enemies, but the enemies won't attack you because frankly, I went ahead and started an actual game, and ditched the effort.
So I don't care about it anymore. I'm gonna try and imploy it within an actual RPG.

Bizzarre, mildly confusing, but a valiant effort all the same. When I fight the guy (ok, *stick* figure), after a while he runs around like a lunatic and I can't catch him. Erk?

I'd hate to see the enemy AI actually damage me. He won't leave me alone! It's that kind of AI that says 'I still can't quite figure out the AI so chances are this guy is going to be more dangerous than if I had actually finished the AI.'

Although. Your demo immediately had a 'oh, cool' factor when I realized I can use chain combos. The biggest combo I ever got was 8-hits, though. Pretty spiffy.

Repositioning myself to attack is a little difficult. If you ever feel like revolutionizing 2D overhead real-time battle, I'd start there.

Good job on the combo parts. The enemy scares me.

My opinions exactly.

Though repositioning had sorta already been done with Star Ocean.
The enemies scare me too. I made them in 5 minutes.

My friend Mark came up the idea for the combos.

I will not be improving the battle system, for I am starting on my game now, and I don't feel like messing with the battle system...

For now. Maybe after I finish some of my game, which I hope will happen, I will work on the battle system.

I tried it out, kind of interesting. I'm also planning on having a SoM-esque battle system in my game, although I think the fighting will be in the actual map. I think.
