It's been a long time coming, over a year since I last modified my Verge3 Tetris Attack engine.
To Grue or equivalent: I will understand and happily comply with removal of these materials from your website with any or no notice if necessary. :)
What this is actually intended to be right now is YOUR Tetris Attack engine. Submitted to the Verge community and all parties interested in Tetris Attack / Panel do Pon for PC on this 6th day of March 2006.

Well, here it is.
The engine, it has refined and perfected through MUCH TOIL
and reverse engineering of the original Tetris Attack for
SNES. Alot of the frame counts for the gameplay engine
were tested using specially designed custom puzzles on
Pokemon Puzzle League for the N64. It's accurate!
The gameplay takes 4 arrow keys and 4 buttons.
The defaults at the time of this 03/06/2006 demo release are:
Cursor movement: The arrow keys
Raise the stack: Q, W
Swap: E, D
To change your controls, change these defaults by editing the
function Controls_SetDefaults() in source/input.vc
The input system implemented in this release does not emulate
the original with 100% accuracy, and also isn't very flexible.
There are two finished stages, the Yoshi stage and the Lakitu
stage. The stage choice occurs in AutoExec() in system.vc
TO EXIT!!! Press ESC to end the current game, and continue
holding ESC and it will exit.
Thanks is due to ViX44, for going out of his own and drawing my
attention to aspects of the engine when I didn't know where
to look. He or she has had years of experience writing PdP
engines but never allowing their release :)
There are other people actively researching and coding on PdP
engines. They roll through <a href='http://tetrisattack.net/forums/' title='Opens http://tetrisattack.net/forums/ in a new window.' target='_blank'>http://tetrisattack.net/forums/
Thanks to the Verge game creation system, for being awesome,
and welcoming my efforts and interests since the late 1990's.

When I was working on this project I used to have ALL the
music converted and looped just right to work in tracker
format. Also had a bunch more sounds. They were deleted, to
reduce the file size, when I sent out copies so long ago.
Which is probably okay, because if this project was picked
back up it would probably be the best idea to make a completely
new game with it... one that graphically doesn't look EXACTLY
like the copyrighted classic.
The idea that most makes me want to work on this project again?
The 3D mode. The netplay or recording aspects could also
motivate me. In any case do what you want with it, with the
exception of trying to look cool and submitting fake videos.
Definitely ask me if you want help porting it into another
language. That is, because I assume the code is easy to mess up :P
