Ah, so you mean changes in the Verge3 engine... well, it'd work, I guess. In any case, I guess it's kind of pointless to argue this, everyone should just use whatever programming methods they find themselves most comfortable with.

Absolutely.

It just seems though, that since most VERGE games use flags, it would be a good idea to have them dealt with "in-engine"

As I said though, it's effort - effort which could be better spent on adding new VERGE features, instead of re-inventing a feature we already have.
