Ok guys, I put up a short and sweet FAQ (in the v3 Docs section) to get the ball rolling. It mostly includes contributions from the FAQ thread that many of you helped out with. It'll still need some fleshing out and fact checking. If you wanna help, can you read it over and let me know if:

-you think the sections are good/bad
-you have a question to be added
-you have an answer to be added/ edited
-you have any ideas or corrections

If you want to get something added you can just post it in this thread and I will handle it, or if you'd like to take it upon yourself to directly edit the FAQ you can send McGrue an email and he'll make you an editor. Remember, the FAQ is not a place for jokes or community references. Let's keep it short and sweet to actually help newbies out. I may edit stuff for grammatical reasons, etc.

Rysen and Zip, since you've been doing a great job helping out so far and have shown interest in the FAQ, McGrue has already made you both editors.

I cannot stress enough how taking a clear, concise, and non-informal tone is in writing the FAQ (as well as in general with other documents).

Documentation should not be a running conversation nor filled with jokes. Just a heads up.

Just to follow up mcgrue's point here, I will (over time) be editing current docs for stylistic reasons as well as content.
Well, with the faq started too, we are progressing happily along the doccing path. :D

Just a bump to remind anyone interested that I'm willing to pretty much let anyone willing be an editor for the FAQ.

Post here if interested.

Ben McGraw's lovingly crafted this website from scratch for years.
It's a lot prettier this go around because of Jon Wofford.
