Really, just lots of frustrating undoes. That, and good use of layers. I probably should have erased those lines, but... meh.

Or even better, if you hit Alt+Print Screen, it just caps the current window. (At least, that works in Windows XP... I presume it works in some earlier version at least.)

Verge is indeed on the coverdisc of the Christmas issue of PC Format, along with thousands of other things. I had a look when I was in a newsagents today, and it's included along with Sphere, RPG Maker, and a couple of other similars, but there's no feature on it or anything.
