Looks just like Ultima 6's tiles only with highres Ultima 7 style objects. Which is a little mishmashed, but whatever. Please please tell me it uses Ultima 6/7's 'chunk' system too! The 'chunk' system is the best way to do large 2d tile maps ever. And also it was cool how you could interact with and pick up most all the objects in ultima6/7. I always wanted to do something Ultima-like, but honestly I always felt verge was just not suited for it. It's the kind of project better done form scratch, even if it is theoretically possible to do 'chunk' maps and lots of getable objects in verge.

Oh yeah! Zonkers' world editor! I was going to help with that RPG, but I came down with a bad case of lazy-ass. Sorry, Zonks!
But the smoothing and prefab code, those are teh awsomeness. Zonkers' code skills are eons and lightyears and other such descriptions of distances of indescribable length beyond mine. I'm still trying to move my RPG away from being a Final Fantasy ripoff, and failing miserably. It'll just end up being as different as possible mechanics wise, while still being do-able for an unimaginative like me. :P Maybe the CG movies will make the story a little more bearable. I always did love a good CG movie.

I have to agree with troupe, I'll try to upload some more art to boost people's interest. If I can get these new sprite set's done I think they'd be a fine addition. I miss the old verge, with a new demo every week and active members. In any event I've always felt like I was an outsider, no matter how long I've been around.
