Would Verge like some LÖVE?

With the (semi) recent switch to using lua for coding in Verge 3, this thought came to mind. IT has come to my attention that another rapid prototype game engine has been in progress for a while. This one is called LÖVE and they are into there 5th version (granted that they came out with versions a little more often than Verge)

There website is at:

At a glance it seems somewhat easy to use and well documented. My question is whether or not others are aware of this engine. If they are, how useful do they find it? My idea was that Verge would be able to benefit from LÖVE because both projects are open source. Does anyone else think this is a good idea?

Ben McGraw's lovingly crafted this website from scratch for years.
It's a lot prettier this go around because of Jon Wofford.
