Okay guys, long story short, I don't have much programming experience. I know a little bit from every language (including cpp) but I am new to verge and rpg making stuff. I haven't started to look at it, yet.
Basically, I am disappointed with windows vista, I have 3 computers, 1 has xp and ubuntu, another has osx tiger, and the other has xp and ubuntu studio.
I am big on cross-platform compatibility, and am wondering if there are any nice tools that compile my game to be compatible with a number of operating systems. I haven't the slightest clue how to go about doing this, what or where to search. I plan on experimenting with the osx verge engine first, and if all fails, i'll use the windows one.
please help!!!!

Well, for the time being, windows is your best bet for active development, as the only mapeditor we have presently is not cross-platform.
However, any game you make on windows can be brought over to the mac by running the mac version of the executable in compile mode with everything else.
The linux version of the engine is experimental, but shouldn't be too hard to test out. I'll see about getting you a bin if you're interested.
