Oooh, sounds like a Harry Potter rip off.

Okay, here's the thing. I'm trying to draw something BELOW the map with R.string, and then above everything else. Accordingly, my Rstring for the current map is set to R,1,E,R.

Drawing the background appears to be done successfully. The problem is that when the first tile layer is rendered, it obliterates everything with Death Magenta, which I was under the impression isn't supposed to be drawn. Does the first tile layer have some kind of exception?

I'm not too bothered about the current map - it's just a test map, so redrawing a new test map on map layer 2 and just removing layer 1 from my R.string is a possible work around.

The first tile layer might have an exception. I'll look into altering the rendering logic. The method you described is definitely what *should* be happening.

Ben McGraw's lovingly crafted this website from scratch for years.
It's a lot prettier this go around because of Jon Wofford.
