Ummm... maybe this sounds silly to you all but I can't seem to start the program I unzipped it and all but when i double click the Verge icon another screen appears for a split of a second then a messege like this appears 'You have succesfully run V3. This is only an early alpha release and lacks any meaningful documentation still. And so on but i won't write it all. Does anyone know if it has a bug or do i have to download it again. Please help me. Thanks in advance.
P.S. I now you may say im a total noob but give me a chance im new with this game making thingy.

Aqua,
no you dont need to re-download anything. What you do need to do tho is write some code.
You should check out the tutorials available on this site as well as download a couple of demos or games from the files section to see how these things are put together.

Hey Aqua,
You might want to check out my Beginner's Guide to V3 tutorial which can be found here:
http://rysen.actionsketch.com/VergeTutorial
But yes, follow zonker's advice and download some of the demo's for an idea of how it all works.
Good luck! :)

That's great. I'm glad you're finding it easier to follow than other tutorials. When I was first starting I found that the tutorials I read weren't very helpful either, in that I didn't really understand what was being written. I learned verge mostly through looking at other peoples code, drawing certain conclusions and asking for help from the oldbies that were around at the time. So my aim when writing this tutorial was to try and make it both relevant and clear to the reader by thinking back to when I was a complete 'n00b' and the things I had most difficulty with.
Anyway! It's good to know that I've managed to succeed with that goal at least to an extent. :) Thanks for the comments and good luck with the learning process. :)

That's because the download contains blank vc files.
In order to get it to run you have to read through the tutorial and fill in the blanks yourself. It's to help you understand how verge works. :)
Good luck!
