Hey Guys,

Quick Easy Question, In the Map Editor i know full and well that the size of tiles that you import and append to the tile set must be a multiple of 16 pixels. But is there a limit to the size you can import? I have no trouble importing images that are 32 by 64, but any larger than that i get that funky error.

Thanks for taking the time to help out a goober

i've noticed that maped 3 is very quirky when it comes to importing images. I get weird errors, and sometimes, I don't. The trick is, you have to go into your graphic editor, copy your tiles image to your clipboard, and then in Maped3, import via clipboard. You won't get errors this way.

Good luck.

I've discovered that I can't actually import tiles properly in Maped3 unless I've just loaded the map... So I've gotten in the habit of saving, switching to another map using the same VSP, importing the tiles, saving, and switching back. That said though, I routinely import large images... I've never hit a problem with size at all, really.

Er... except that one time that I tried to load a map that had a VSP with like half a million tiles or something. <_< Aen's psd2map is powerful, but with power, comes great responsibility.

Of course, it would be awesome if you didn't have to work around like this.

Ive found that the easiest way to import tiles with zero problems is to do it from the clipboard. Largest size ive done is about 1200 tiles in 1 shot. Works just as well with or without padding.
