HELP! I have downloaded verge, tried to run it, but it WONT OPEN! i get the screen for half a second and then it closes. what can i do to actually use it?

That screen is for when you have written some code in system.vc (your game) and the screen compiles the code into your game. To get started, go to this website (http://rysensoft.com/Verge/index.htm). It's a tutorial package for verge to help you get started. It is a really good one too.
